Use of GTA in Qualitative Research

his paper depicts the use of Grounded Theory Approach (GTA) in a qualitative management research in 2000s. Developed in the 1960s, GTA is a reaction to the dominance of quantitative research methods in which a theory is formed then an empirical study is carried out to discover whether the hypothesis is proven. GTA is the opposite: a theory is systemically verified by the collection and analysis of data. Readers will see the academic rigor and tedious processes in the application of GTA. With reference to this Paper, readers can effectively apply GTA in a qualitative research whilst mastering all the data collection techniques and constant comparative skills elaborated herein.
