在无线通信中,如何减少有限电量终端设备的能源消耗已经成为一大研究课题。IEEE 802.16e是一种较新的无线宽带接入系统移动标准,其基于全移动蜂窝网的设计需要考虑终端的电源消耗,同时要尽可能减少空口资源的消耗,因此IEEE 802.16e标准中在MAC层定义了节能算法。在本文中,我们介绍IEEE 802.16e标准休眠模式和相关参数,通过NS2仿真验证,验证复杂环境下的数据流量类型是休眠模式间隔控制的一个重要因素。

In the wireless communication, how to reduce energy consumption of terminal equipment has became one important research theme. IEEE 802.16e is a new mobile standard of wireless broadband access system. Based on the design of whole mobile cellular network needs to consider the power consumption of terminal. At the same time, it tries to best to decrease the consumption of air interface. Therefore IEEE 802.16e standard defines the energy saving algorithm in the MAC layer. In this paper, we introduce IEEE 802.16e standard sleep mode and relating parameters. Through the simulation validation on NS2, it proves that data flow under the complex environment is an important factor of power saving interval controlled.
