本文对目前创建三维地形所使用的两种主要DEM数字高程模型TIN与GRID进行了深入分析,重点研究了两种模型采样点的分布特征,各自优缺点以及存储数据结构。并在此基础上将两种方式融合到一起,提出了TIN与GRID混合模型,解决了单独模型中存在的问题。其中详细讨论了构建混合模型的具体步骤,计算地形复杂度的方法,混合模型的数据结构及Delaunay三角网生成算法。最后通过对莫地形区域进行实验测试,证明了混合模型在数据存储复杂性和地形模拟精度方面得到了合适的折中,可以更加方便有效地实现三维地形建模。
his article has a deeply analysis for creating 3D terrains by two main DEM models TIN and GRID, analyzing the sampling points’ traits of the two models, their own advantage and disadvantage and their data structures. Basing on this join the two methods together, finding a mixed model, resolving the problems in single model. This article amply discusses the steps of creating mixed model, calculating terrain complexity, data structure of mixed model and algorithm of building Triangulated Irregular Network. At last, through a mass of tests, it proves that mixed model makes a good balance between complexity of data store and accuracy of terrain simulation, brings plentiful advantage to creating 3D terrain.
