Recentlythe burden of stroke in China is currently increasingwhile such clinical evidences have emerged in the field of integrative medicine for stroke. To standardize the prevention and treatment of integrative medicine for stroketwelve research questions were identified after evaluating the necessity of updating guideline and selecting research questionswhich were based on "Evidence-based Practice Guideline on Integrative Medicine for Stroke 2019". The guideline project was set up to China Association of Chinese Medicine as "Clinical Practice Guideline for the Prevention and Treatment of Stroke with Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicin2023 Edition". Eighteen recommendations regarding integrative medicine for ischaemic strokehaemorrhagic strokeand complications of stroke were conducted following the latest clinical practice guidelinesformulated from systematic retrieval and objective evaluation of clinical evidenceexperience of clinical experts of Chinese and Western medicinediscussion in working groupand solicited opinion. This guideline provided scientific and specific guidance for medical practitioners at all levelsand promoted the standardized application of integrative medicine for stroketo reduce the deathrecurrence and disability of stroke.
