Visualized multiscale numerical simulation system for groundwater flow based on GIS

有限体积多尺度有限元法(FVMsFEM)是一种新近提出的能有效求解非均质多孔介质中地下水流问题的多尺度数值方法。运用该方法模拟大空间尺度和长时间跨度的非均质地下水流问题时,既能显著节省计算量与存储空间又具有较高的模拟精度。然而,该方法在可视化界面下对地下水流进行计算模拟和分析表达的功能一直未能实现。为此,本文将FVMsFEM模型与地理信息系统(GIS)进行有机集成开发出地下水流可视化多尺度数值模拟系统。该系统充分利用了GIS的空间分析、数据管理及其可视化表达功能,实现了FVMsFEM模型的可视化构建、模拟区域的多重尺度离散、各种参数的可视化赋值、地下水流的多尺度数值模拟、粗尺度解的细尺度重构以及模拟结果的多方案可视化表达、成图输出等功能,为非均质地下水流的研究提供了高效的可视化模拟预测与分析的工具。

Finite volume multiscale finite element method (FVMsFEM) is a new multiscale numerical method which can solve the groundwater flow problems in heterogeneous porous media effectively. The method can not only save memory and computing time substantially but also offer higher simulating accuracy when it is applied to simulate the heterogeneous groundwater flow problems with large spatial scale and long time span. However, the functions using the method to calculate, simulate and analyze the groundwater flow under a visual interface have not yet been realized. For this reason, in this paper a visualized multiscale numerical simulation system is developed for groundwater flow by organically integrating FVMsFEM model with geographic information system (GIS). This system realizes the visualized structure of FVMsFEM model, multiscale discretization of the simulation domain, visual assignments of the parameters, multiscale numerical simulation of groundwater flow, fine-scale reconstruction of the coarse-scale solution and multi-method expression of the simulation results and mapping out and so on, by making full use of spatial analysis, data management and visualized functions of GIS. Thus, the system provides efficient visualized simulation, prediction and analysis means for studying the groundwater flow in heterogeneous media.
