Impact of mass testing during an epidemic rebound of SARS-CoV-2: A modelling study
Abstract We used a mathematical model to evaluate the impact of mass testing in the control of SARS-CoV-2. Conditions required to control a quickly growing epidemic with mass testing appear impossible to achieve. Mass testing should therefore not be seen as a silver bullet that will ensure other control measures can be removed. Even under a set of optimistic assumptions, this strategy is most relevant when epidemic growth remains limited, thanks to a combination of interventions.
