he construction of a high proportion of new energy power system has gradually laid a large grid operation pattern of synchronous machine converter interconnection. The access of large-scale power electronic equipment has profoundly changed the synchronization characteristics of the power system. As the basis of large power grid operation, synchronous stability is very important, while the synchronous stability mechanism of new energy power system interconnected by synchronous machine and converter is not clear. Therefore, the research status of synchronous stability of power system is briefly reviewed. Taking a simple synchronous machine converter two machine system as an example, the synchronous stability problems of interconnected system are clarified, and the unified synchronization mechanism of converter and synchronous machine is proposed. Based on this, the definition of synchronous stability of interconnected system is given, and the synchronous stability mechanism and evolution law of interconnected system are briefly analyzed, The application of existing methods in the synchronous stability analysis of interconnected systems is also described.
