Photodynamic therapy, with its advantages of minimal invasiveness and low drug resistance, has made significant progress in cancer treatment. Currently, the organic combination of hydrogels and photodynamic therapy to develop intelligent and efficient treatment systems provides a new approach for disease treatment, and it is expected to further expand the applications of the two in the field of biomedicine.
