he Haase Measurement and Correction Methodology (Mess-und Korrektionsmethodik nach Haase, MKH) represents a distinctive system for managing binocular vision dysfunctions associated with heterophoria, particularly Fixation Disparity (Fixationsdisparation, FD). Based on existing literature, this paper systematically elucidates the core theoretical framework and key aspects of clinical practice within the MKH approach. The content covers the MKH understanding of fixation disparity, the adaptive mechanisms developed by the visual system in response to persistent FD (including Anomalous Retinal Correspondence and central suppression), the core diagnostic toolthe Stereo Triangle Test (Stereo-Dreiecktest)and the underlying principles of the stereopsis delay (Stereoverzgerung) phenomenon it reveals. A key focus is the detailed analysis of the crucial Valenz Test (V-Test) within the MKH procedure, explaining its objectiveachieving a balance of binocular visual information (Stereo-Sehgleichgewicht) or equivalence (quivalenz)and its association with perceptual dominance phenomena (Prvalenz). Furthermore, this paper delves into the specific prism correction philosophy unique to MKH, particularly the precise, subjective feedback-dependent, stepwise prism adjustment strategy employed during the Valenz testing phase. The aim is to provide optometrists, vision care professionals, and researchers in related fields with a comprehensive review and interpretation of the theoretical essence, testing procedure design, and correction logic inherent to the MKH methodology.
