土壤盐渍化是重要的非生物胁迫之一,严重威胁着农业生产和生态安全。盐渍土壤中积累的过多可溶性盐对大多数植物生长发育造成了严重影响。棉花是重要的经济作物,能适应相对恶劣的生长环境,被称为盐碱地种植的先锋作物。但关于棉花耐盐功能的研究进展缓慢,需进一步深入研究。棉花的不同生育时期耐盐碱性存在较大差异,其中苗期是对盐胁迫最敏感的时期之一。前期,课题组鉴定到一个耐盐相关基因GhirD11G005320。本研究对该基因进行了VIGS试验,并检测了供试材料的丙二醛(MDA)含量,结果显示,150 mmol NaCl溶液处理5 h时沉默GhirD11G005320后的植株较对照组幼茎弯曲程度轻、处理5天时沉默组较对照组MDA含量显著降低,初步确定GhirD11G005320负调控棉花苗期耐盐反应。

Soil salinization ranks among the crucial abiotic stresses, posing a substantial threat to agricultural production and ecological security. In saline - alkali soils, the excessive accumulation of soluble salts exerts a profound impact on the growth and development of the majority of plant species. Cotton, an important economic crop, demonstrates the ability to adapt to relatively adverse growth conditions and is thus hailed as a pioneer crop for cultivation in saline - alkali lands. Nevertheless, the research on the salt - tolerance mechanisms of cotton has advanced at a sluggish pace, necessitating further in - depth investigations.Notably, the salt - tolerance capacity of cotton varies markedly across different growth stages. Among these, the seedling stage is particularly sensitive to salt stress. In previous research, our research team identified a gene associated with salt tolerance, designated as GhirD11G005320.In the present study, a virus - induced gene silencing (VIGS) experiment was conducted on this gene. Additionally, the content of malondialdehyde (MDA) in the experimental materials was measured. The results indicated that following treatment with a 150 mmol/L NaCl solution for 5 hours, the seedlings in which GhirD11G005320 was silenced exhibited less bending of the young stems compared to the control group. After 5 days of treatment, the MDA content in the silenced group was significantly lower than that in the control group. These results preliminarily suggest that GhirD11G005320 negatively regulates the salt - tolerance response during the cotton seedling stage.
