摘要
漂移扩散模型被广泛应用于不同领域的反应时分析。然而,当前文献缺少对DDM的数学模型、参数估计算法和工具及如何合理使用的系统阐述。本文首先回顾了DDM的数学基础——首次通过时间函数,强调DDM从统计模型到认知模型这一逻辑“飞跃”中的关键模型预设,简述DDM参数估计的算法及其软件实现;在此基础上强调模型预设对实验任务设计与参数解读的约束,并指出两种可能使用DDM路径:严格使用标准DDM或者对其进行拓展。
Abstract
The drift-diffusion model (DDM) has been widely applied to reaction-time analyses across diverse domains. However, the current literature lacks a systematic account of the DDMs mathematical formulation, parameter-estimation algorithms, available tools, and principles for appropriate use. This paper first reviews the mathematical foundations of the DDMits first-passage-time formulationhighlighting the key modeling assumptions that underpin the conceptual leap from a statistical model to a cognitive process model. We then summarize major approaches to DDM parameter estimation and their software implementations. Building on this foundation, we emphasize how these assumptions constrain experimental task design and parameter interpretation, and we outline two viable pathways for applying the DDM: using the standard model under its strict assumptions, or extending the model when those assumptions are not met.关键词
