摘要

情绪感染和自我表征是社会认知中两类核心的心理过程,已有研究探讨了社会性自我表征与情绪感染的关系,而关于更基础的生理自我表征在情绪互动中的作用仍缺乏系统研究。本研究采用激活似然估计法(ALE)对25项情绪感染研究和30项以面孔识别为主的自我表征研究的脑功能成像(fMRI)数据进行元分析,系统考察情绪感染与生理自我表征在神经机制上的关联。结果显示,两类任务展现出显著的右半球优势,重叠脑区主要位于右侧额下回、右侧顶下小叶、右侧中央前回、右侧梭状回以及双侧脑岛。进一步结合元分析连通性模型(MACM)发现,这些区域共同构成一个涵盖额-岛-顶的协同激活网络,该网络整合了动作模拟、内感受觉察与自我相关信息加工。该机制的核心在于:显著性网络(脑岛/前扣带皮层)对内感受体验进行意义编码,对外部刺激进行显著性识别,并与额顶网络的动作模拟协同发挥作用。本研究超越了基于镜像神经元系统的无意识模仿的单一解释,支持了情绪感染作为一种基于具身化的意义建构过程的观点。该发现为理解人际情绪互动的神经基础提供了新视角,同时对社会认知障碍等临床问题的干预具有潜在启示意义。

Abstract

Emotional contagion and self-representation are two core psychological processes in social cognition. While previous research has explored the relationship between social self-representation and emotional contagion, the role of more fundamental bodily self-representation in emotional interactions remains relatively underexplored. The present study employed Activation Likelihood Estimation (ALE) to conduct a meta-analysis of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data from 25 studies on emotional contagion and 30 studies on self-representation, primarily involving face recognition tasks, to systematically examine their shared neural mechanisms. The results revealed a significant right-hemisphere dominance across both types of tasks. Overlapping brain regions were primarily identified in the right inferior frontal gyrus (rIFG), right inferior parietal lobule (rIPL), right precentral gyrus, right fusiform gyrus, and bilateral insula. Further analysis using Meta-Analytic Connectivity Modeling (MACM) indicated that these regions constitute an integrated frontoinsularparietal network, supporting the integration of action simulation, interoceptive awareness, and self-related information processing. At the core of this mechanism is the salience network (insula/anterior cingulate cortex), which assigns significance to interoceptive signals and detects the salience of external stimuli, in coordination with action simulation processes within the frontoparietal network. Moving beyond accounts of unconscious mimicry based on the mirror neuron system, the present findings support the view of emotional contagion as an embodied process of meaning construction. These findings provide a novel perspective on the neural basis of interpersonal emotional interaction and offer potential implications for clinical interventions targeting social cognitive impairments.
