Abstract
The traditional composition teaching has long taken the separate teaching of the four technical courses of harmony, counterpoint, form, and orchestration as the core model. This solidified teaching structure leads to strict disciplinary barriers and a fragmented knowledge system. Although students master individual techniques, it is difficult for them to form a holistic creative thinking, resulting in the common phenomenon of "being unable to compose after learning"[1][3]. At the same time, the traditional composition main courses generally exclude modern sound elements such as sound space, sound field structure, and reverb from the research of composition ontology, seriously disconnecting the teaching content from the music needs of contemporary society[2][4]. This paper proposes to reconstruct the composition teaching system with the holistic sound thinking as the core, incorporate spatial hearing and sound shaping into the basic composition ability, break the solidified structure of separate teaching, and promote the teaching to shift from "score technical training" to "auditory creation and industry adaptation"[5][6]. Through the discussion of theoretical reconstruction and specific practical paths, combined with the analysis of the teaching status of music conservatories around the world, this study aims to provide theoretical basis and practical guidance for the cultivation of composition talents in the new era, emphasizing the importance and direction of reform for breaking through the dilemma of traditional teaching models and cultivating compound talents to meet the needs of the future music industry[7][8].
