Studying the formation path of health information persuasion on short video platforms helps enhance the utility of health information in individual health management and decision-making. Based on the Elaboration Likelihood Model (ELM), this research explores key influencing factors of health information persuasion on short video platforms and analyzes their configuration paths by combining grounded theory and fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis. The results indicate that information quality, source credibility, presentation quality, peer influence, health awareness, health literacy, and self-efficacy are critical factors affecting persuasion. Configuration analysis further identifies three pathways driving persuasion: health literacy-driven under information quality, dual-driven by information quality and peer influence, and self-efficacy-driven under presentation quality.
