Accurately identifying industrial technology trajectories and revealing their evolution patterns are crucial foundations for scientifically judging technology development trends and forward-looking planning of industrial innovation. This study constructs a dual-weighted patent citation network based on International Patent Classification (IPC) co-occurrence weighting and CiteRank algorithm weighting. It integrates cluster analysis and the Search Path Count (SPC) algorithm to identify the main technology paths, uses multi-dimensional indicators to evaluate the role of standard essential patents, classifies technology trajectory types, and analyzes their evolution characteristics to predict future trends. Empirical research in the field of wireless communication shows that this method can classify industrial technology trajectories into various types such as leading, frontier, and marginal types based on standard essential patents. It systematically reveals the structural characteristics, evolution patterns, and development potential of each type of industrial technology trajectory, thereby providing quantitative tools for industrial technology foresight, innovation layout, and standard setting.
