[Purpose/Significance] This paper probes into the realization path and construction pattern of smart library from the perspective of “technology” and “humanity”. [Method/Process] This paper makes a comprehensive review of relevant documents of smart library. Basis on the summary of the concept’s evolution path of smart library, this paper analyzes the knowledge transfer mode of smart library and the applicability of contextual awareness technology, eventually constructs a smart library pattern with coordination of “technology” and “humanity”. [Result/Conclusion] The research of smart library is in the development stage of the coordination of “technology” and “humanity”. The realization path of smart library is upgrading and benefiting from the development of the new generation of technology, and the smart library becomes more humanistic with the integration of traditional humanistic spirit.
