剪流下弹性胶囊数值模拟的一种改进Loop细分算法
Modified Loop's Subdivision Algorithm for Numerical Simulation of Elastic Capsules in Shear Flow
本文提出了模拟剪切流下弹性胶囊变形的一种改进的Loop细分算法。 该方法通过实施细分薄壳模型来计算弹性胶囊在变形中曲面上所产生的力。通过改进的Loop细分格式来逼近胶囊曲面,从而保证了在极限曲面上曲率的有界和处处$C^1$连续。通过研究剪切流下球形胶囊的变形验证了当前数值技术的有效性。该方法被应用到研究有界剪切流下单个弹性胶囊的变形、两个胶囊之间的流体动力学相互作用以及悬浮胶囊的流体动力学扩散。本文也对剪切流下许多双凹的悬浮胶囊进行了模拟,该实验展现了当前改进的细分格式对长时间进行大规模数值模拟的能力。
his paper presents a modified Loop's subdivision algorithm forsimulating the deformation of elastic capsules in shear flow. A subdivisionthin-shell model is employed to compute the forces generated on thesurface of the elastic capsule during deformation. The capsulesurface is approximated using the modified Loop's subdivision schemewhich guarantees bounded curvature and $C^1$ continuity everywhereon the limit surface. The present numerical technique has beenvalidated by studying the deformation of a spherical capsule inshear flow. The proposed method is applied to study the deformation of a single capsule, the hydrodynamicinteraction between two capsules and the hydrodynamic diffusion of asuspension of capsules in bounded shear flow. A suspension of a large number ofbiconcave capsules in shear flow is also simulated to show theability of the present modified scheme in running a large-scale numerical simulationover a long period of time.
