本文是以SOPC为硬件和软件开发平台,在对JPEG压缩编码深入理解的基础上,设计并实现符合JPEG标准基本模式(Baseline Mode)的图像压缩编码器。JPEG编码器采用高级硬件描述语言Verilog描述,按照Top-Down和模块化方法设计各个逻辑组件,通过软件进行综合,布局布线和仿真。通过SOPC片上可编程系统的研究,在Altera SOPC硬件和软件开发环境的支持下构建SOPC系统完成对图像传感器、JPEG压缩编码 IP核、存储设备的控制,选择适合的Nios软核,完成图像采集,编码,存储的功能。

his article is based on SOPC for hardware and software development platform, in-depth understanding of JPEG compression coding based on the design and realization of the basic model in line with the JPEG standard (Baseline Mode) image compression encoder. JPEG encoder is described by Verilog hardware description language, in accordance with the Top-Down and modular design of the various methods of logic components, integrated software, layout and simulation wiring. Studying at SOPC system, in the Altera SOPC hardware and software development environment to build the support of SOPC system to complete the image sensor, JPEG compression IP core, the control of storage devices, select a suitable Nios soft-core to complete the image acquisition, coding, storage functions.
