中国东部下地壳是中性的吗?
Is there an intermediate lower crust beneath the eastern China?
本研究采用Li等和Gao等归纳的中国东部主要构造单元的P波波速结构研究中国东部的下地壳组分特征。对下地壳的岩性推测通过两个方面展开,(1)通过实测地壳Vp值与Christensen和Mooney实测的不同岩性Vp值的对比,(2)采用Hasterok和Chapman提出的波速(Vp)-密度(ρ)转换方法,将下地壳的P波波速结构转化为密度结构,并采用Monte Carlo法对密度值的误差进行估算。结果显示:中国东部各构造单元下地壳P波波速与基性岩类相当;绝大多数构造单元下地壳密度大于3000 kg/m3,该密度范围对应的岩性是基性岩类。因此,中国东部下地壳是基性的。
We start our research based on the seismic wave velocity of the crust beneath the main tectonic units of the eastern China summarized by Li et al. and Gao et al. to study the lower crustal composition. The predictions of the lower crustal composition are through two aspects. On the one hand, by comparing the observed velocities of the eastern lower crust with the observed velocities of the various rocks from Christensen and Mooney. On the other hand, the crustal densities of the main tectonic units are computed using an empirical velocity to density conversion: ρ = a + bVp proposed by Hasterok and Chapman. To determine the uncertainties in the crustal densities, we perform a Monte Carlo analysis perturbing the density structure to compute the density correction. The result shows that the seismic wave velocity of the lower crust of the main tectonic units in eastern China are corresponded with the velocities of the mafic rocks. And also most of the densities of the lower crust are greater than 3000 kg/m3, which constrained the rocks belonging to the lower crust are mafic rocks. Therefore, the lower crust of the eastern China is suggested to be mafic in composition.
