组蛋白的共价修饰在调控基因转录,调节生物体生命活动过程中具有重要作用。最近研究发现,组蛋白的单泛素化修饰在细胞中具有普遍性,但是在不同的细胞或者生命周期中对基因转录具有不同的激活或者抑制作用。从而影响生物体生长发育及响应逆境胁迫的多个方面。文章重点阐述了组蛋白H2A,H2B单泛素化的作用及主要的可能调控机制。
ovalent modifications of the amino termini of the core histones in nucleosomes have important roles in gene regulation. Recent studies found that histone monoubiquitination is widely distributed throughout eukaryotic organisms from yeast to humans and plants and have different active or repress roles in development and stresses responses.This review focuses on the biologic functions of H2A and H2B monoubiquitination and their molecular mechanism.
