Progress of Osteopontin in the Regulation of Immune Responses

骨桥蛋白(Osteopontin, OPN)是一种包含RGD(Arg-Gly-Asp)整合素结合位点的磷酸化糖蛋白。一直以来,人们将OPN看作一种细胞因子样分泌蛋白,并发现其在细胞发育、增值、迁移和癌变中起到重要作用,同时OPN也可以作为一种重要分子调控免疫应答。近年来研究发现,OPN存在另一种细胞内形式(intracellular OPN, iOPN),同样在各种生命活动中发挥着重要作用。本文着重总结了目前两种形式的OPN在免疫学反应中的研究进展。

Osteopontin (OPN) is a phosphorylated glycoprotein containing the RGD (Arg-Gly-Asp)integrin binding site. Until now, researchers found that OPN plays an important role in the cell development, proliferation, migration, and tumor growth and metastasis as a cytokine-like secreted molecule. Pleaty of work also demomstrated that secreted OPN is an important regulatory molecule in immune response. Recent studies demonstrated that there is an intracellular form of OPN (iOPN), which also plays an important role in varieties of life activities including immune regulation. This review mainly outlines the fast developing knowledge on OPN in the regulation of immune responses.
