Early screening of gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM) is critical for the prevention and treatment. Glycosylated hemoglobin is albe to reflect previous blood glucose concentration, thus is potentially be able to used in early screening of GDM. However, there are still a few limitations for the usage of HbA1c in clinical practice.
