一种云计算环境下的利润驱动的虚拟机资源调度算法

s the development of information technology, the amount of data that service providers face has been increased unprecedently. However, computing capacity of traditional data centers of service providers can no longer meet the ever-increasing need of computing resources to deal with these data. Cloud compting, as a revolutionary computing paradigm, provides lots of opportunities for service providers. As more and more service providers begin to build their own services based on IaaS, they have to handle dynamic requirements while maintain efficiency of resource utilization. Therefore, how to utilize computing resources efficiently has become the key issue to services providers. This paper investigates three parties in cloud computing environment including IaaS provider, service provider and ultimate users. IaaS provider is responsible for the management of underlying computing resources, service provider applies for computing resources according to its requirement, and users submit jobs to service provider. This paper investigates the resource virtual machine scheduling mechanism in cloud computing environment, designs and implements a novel profit-driven scheduling algorithm, which largely reduces the execution cost of submitted jobs and guarantees the performance requirement of these jobs at the same time.
