SARS冠状病毒的流行演化分析
Evolutionary and Epidemic Analysis of SARS Associated Coronavirus
2002-2003年冬春之交,严重急性呼吸综合症(Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome, SARS, 或传染性非典型肺炎)肆虐全球。SARS的流行,不仅威胁着人类的健康与生命,也使社会经济生活受到巨大的影响。 面临与SARS不期而遇的遭遇战,医务和科技工作者在几乎毫无所知和准备的情况下迎难而上,在世界卫生组织(WHO)于2003年3月12日发出关于SARS的全球性警告之后,经11个国家和地区13个实验室的通力合作,经过不到一个月时间,科学家们就确定了导致SARS的元凶为一种以前未知的冠状病毒(SARS Coronavirus,SARS-CoV)(1)。短短数月,造成了全球八千余人感染,一时之间人们谈“非”色变。在噩梦过后人们不禁产生了这样的疑问:究竟SARS从何而来?它与已有的冠状病毒成员之间有怎样的联系?由于SARS-CoV具于与其它冠状病毒相似的基因组结构,因此本文仅简单地介绍其生物学特性。我们主要回顾了SARS发生,发展过程,并根据SARS的流行传播特点和SARS-CoV的进化树分析,推测了SARS-CoV可能的发源和衍变。
Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome, termed SARS is a kind of newly emerging disease appeared between the end of 2002 and the beginning of 2003. Obviously the prevalence of SARS has brought tremendous impact on social stability and economic development in the world. Fortunately, through the international cooperation coordinated by WHO, the causative agent of SARS has been identified as a member of coronaviruses, namely SARS-CoV. Subsequently, a lot of research progress has been reported in scientific journals. However, No definite conclusion is available for the exploration of SARS origin and the evolutionary of SARS-CoV. In this paper, we made a retrospective analysis of SARS and its pathogen, SARS-CoV in order to facilitate the epidemic study in the future.
