Porphyrins are kinds of special nitrogen heterocyclic compounds which contains macrocyclic aromatic conjugation system. Natural porphyrins have particular physiological activities. So artificial simulation of natural has always been an important area. In chemical experiment teaching, Synthetic Experiment of Porphyrin is helpful to students in improvement the experimental skills of synthesis, separation and purification, and acquaintance the detection methods of the ultraviolet -visible absorption spectrum and fluorescence spectrum. Based on the principles of safety first, reduction irritation of organic substances, simplification of operation steps and increase the maneuverability, the porphyrin synthesis experiment has been explored and improved, and the experimental scheme has been optimized.
