hiophenes are structures that are widely found in natural products, pharmaceuticals, and biologically active molecules.O-alkynyl naphthol is the precursor compound of VQM (Vinylidene o-quinone methide), which is a kind of reaction intermediate with high reactivity and multiple reactive sites. In this work, using the open chain alkyl as the linker between thiophene and VQM, thiophene structure was introduced into the ortho-alkynyl naphthol skeleton, and thethiophene derivative was synthesized, which provided substrates for the subsequent exploration of reactions based on VQM.
