he company\'s corporate social responsibility strategy has a top-down (i.e. implemented by management) and employee bottom-up approach, which complement and promote each other. However, it is not clear in existing literature how responsible leaders influence the corporate social responsibility related behaviors of their followers, such as employee prosocial behavior. Responsible leadership and proactive and pro social employees are essential assets for a company to fulfill its social responsibility. However, leaders with a strong sense of responsibility and mission can lead the entire company\'s employees to better fulfill the organization\'s social responsibility. This article explores the impact mechanism and boundary conditions of responsible leadership on employee prosocial behavior based on social influence theory and organizational identity theory. The results show that responsible leadership positively influences employees\' pro-social behaviours, with organisational identity playing a partly mediating role; the higher the level of proactive personality, the stronger the positive relationship between employees\' organisational identification and pro-social behaviours. The results of this study provide a new theoretical perspective for further understanding the relationship between responsible leadership and employees\' pro-social behaviours.
