In order to understand the combined effects of elevated ultraviolet-B (UV-B,11.66KJ/m2.d) and CO2(700±80µmol/mol)on the matter metabolism and growth of tree seedlings, a stimulant experiment on the seedlings of white birch (Betula platyphylla) and Korean spruce (Picea koraiensis) and Korean pine (Pinus koraiensis) was conducted using OTC (Open Top Chambers) technique in the field. Results showed that white birch leaves dry weight was increasing, But needles dry weight of Korean spruce and Korean pine were not too changes. In the person of otherness of dry weight changes in between broadleaved tree and conifer. The content of soluble sugar and protein of three seedlings were little increasing in anaphase. The content of tryptophan of white birch was increasing. Combine treatment restrain high growth of white birch and Korean pine seedlings, the branch of white birch was decreasing, but roots volume was increasing; needle area of Korean pine was restrained.
