聚氧化乙烯对改性聚乙烯醇结构与性能的影响
he Effect of Poly (ethylene oxide) on Structure and Properties of Modified Poly (vinyl alcohol)
采用FTIR、DSC、WXRD等研究了PEO对分子复合改性PVA体系氢键作用、体系中水状态、结晶结构、非等温结晶动力学行为的影响,并比较了改性PVA毛细管挤出条拉伸前后的力学性能。结果表明,PEO可与PVA和体系中的水形成氢键复合,一方面削弱PVA自身氢键作用,改变PVA聚集态结构,使其结晶结构更不完善,结晶尺寸减小;另一方面延缓体系中水的蒸发,使PVA熔点和结晶度进一步降低;且PEO可利用其强结晶能力,诱导PVA结晶,使PVA熔体结晶成核点增多,球晶尺寸减小。PVA结晶结构和结晶行为的改变有利于改善其热塑加工性能和提高制品的拉伸性能,使同样拉伸倍数下,PVA分子链能更好伸直取向,从而获得更好的力学性能。
In order to further improve the drawability of modified Poly (vinyl alcohol), Poly (ethylene oxide) (PEO), a special resin with good flexibility, excellent lubrication and compatibility with PVA, was applied to modify PVA, and the FTIR, DSC, WXRD were adopted to study the interactions, water states, thermal properties, crystal structure and nonisothermal crystallization of modified PVA. It is found that the oxygen in PEO chain can form strong hydrogen bonds with water and PVA, thus on the one hand weakens the self-hydrogen bonds of PVA, changes the aggregation states of its chains and decreases its melt point and crystallinity; on the other hand retards the evaporation of water in modified system and makes more water remained in the system and takes the role of plasticization. Both benefit to the thermal process of PVA. The existence of PEO also slows down the melt crystallization process of PVA, however, increases the nucleation points of system by its induced crystallization effect, therefore more and smaller spherulites form. The weakened crystallization ability of PVA and the good self-drawability and lubrication of PEO make PVA chains liable to extend under the outside force, and obtain high mechanical properties. So the tensile strength and Yong’s modules of modified PVA capillary extruded strips with PEO are much higher than that of the modified PVA without PEO.
