随着光通信系统比特率需求的增加,信号色散成为影响通信质量的直接原因,因此色散补偿成了一个极为重要的问题。如何低成本、高效率地对已经广泛铺设的常规单模光纤通信系统的色散进行补偿已经引起了人们极大的关注。光纤光栅作为新型的光子器件,其优异的性能决定了它可用作波分复用(WDM)系统的色散补偿器,不同种类的光纤光栅可以补偿不同的色散。本文详细地介绍了这些光纤光栅色散补偿器的基本原理、发展现状、存在的优势与不足、以及未来的发展趋势,并通过仿真为新型色散补偿器的研制提供了依据。
When the requirement of transmission capacity increases rapidly, fiber dispersion has become a primary problem that impacts quality of signal. So dispersion compensation has become a very important consideration.How we can reduce cost and increase efficiency for existing standard single mode fiber transmission system has attracted attention. As a new type of photon apparatus, fiber grating can be used for dispersion compensation in WDM system with excellent performance. This paper introduces fiber grating’s principle, advantages, disadvantages and the trend of development for the future, which offer gist for developing new types of dispersion compensation device.
