his paper introduced the characteristics and structure of WMN, discussed the sameness and differences among WNM, mobile Ad hoc network and cellular network, strengthened the characteristics and classifications of routing protocols in WMN, especially MR-LQSR, PWRP, MCRP. Finally, the research on development and future evolution of WMN was introduced, including standardization and commercial condition.
