Based on the Journal citation reports(JCR) of 2006 and 2007 database, indexes for journals of chemistry ＆chemical engineering in China were analyzed from impact factor, the immediate impact factor, self-citation rate, the number of papers, published frequencies, the publication of language, published agencies and rank. Moreover, the comparisons were performed between the journals of chemistry ＆ chemical engineering in China and the corresponding average of subject journals. Factors that influence academy impact of Chinese scientific journals were discussed，and suggestions were put forward to improve the academy impact.
