双黄连制剂治疗疱疹性咽峡炎临床对照试验的系统评价

Objective: To assess the effectiveness and safety of Shuanghuanglian preparations for the treatment of herpangina. Methods: An search for clinical controlled trials on treatment of herpangina with Shuanghuanglian preparation including CNKI, VIP and CBM was performed up to October 2009. The quality of each trial was assessed according to the Cochrane Reviewers’ Handbook. Results: Thirty-eight articles were retrieved. After filtration, 26 studies were included with a total of 2910 patients. The quality of the included articles was poor (marked C). The results of data analyses suggested that, SHL preparations were more effective than ribavirin or other western medicine for the treatment of herpangina. Evaluation indicators included effective rate, abatement time of fever, hospitalization time, etc. The incidence of adverse events about SHL reported in the articles was 1.87%, including rash, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or pain of the injection site. Conclusions: SHL preparations alone or together with other western medicines, presented better effect than the control group (western medicine) for the treatment of herpangina. However, because of the poor methodological quality of included studies, there was still lack of reliable evidence to calculate the benefit.
