o suppress the noise while preserve and enhance the effective continuity of interest and the resolution of the seismic data, a dip orientation filtering on multi-frequency bands is presented in this paper. This method combines the multi-frequency band expansion and the non-linear dip-orientation filtering. It filters the seismic data components on different frequency bands by using the non-linear dip-orientation filtering with selective parameters, and then reconstructs the filtered data with different weight. This method can highlight the contribution of the effective components on different frequency bands. The real data processing results indicate that the method can remarkably suppress the noise, highlight the effective continuity of interest and enhance the resolution.
