Research progress of LTP molecular mechanism
It has been proved that synaptic plasticity is closely related to Alzheimer disease, epilepsy, chronic pain, drug addiction and so on. Long-term potentiation (LTP) is a molecular model of synaptic plasticity, which is an acknowledged ideal model to study learning and memory. In the last few decades great thrust has been put into studying LTP and correlated mechanism in the area of neurobiology. This article is a summary of studies for LTP related molecular mechanism to provide a novel approach to the treatment of clinical diseases.
