he professional sports market has the character as two-sided market. The team in professional sports leagues takes the role as a platform, to link the players and the fans. This paper analysis the “two-sided markets” characters of the professional sports team and uses the two-sided market theory to analysis the price strategy of the professional sports team and the factors on making the price decision. In this two-sided market, which is formed by the players and the fans, the price of any side is decided by the network externality that created by the other side. Besides, degree of fans’ loyalty towards teams and product differences are also the factors on the price.
