工厂内的东厂，这现象是寓意企业，尤其小企企业主聘用专才管理整个企业，与此同时又在企业中加插耳目，树立情报网。然而，这非正式组织往往无法加强企业效益，更甚者因为企业成员察觉这些心腹其影响力不亚于专业经营者，企业出现派系，造成内耗。这是一个极普遍的现象，当中的利害得失，值得小企业主关注。
