IEEE 802.11协议安全机制不恰当的使用了密码学中的许多技术,导致了其根本无法实现其设计目标。TKIP协议和802.1x协议从一定程度上弥补了WEP加密中的设计缺陷,但也存在新的安全隐患。本文首先介绍了一种无线局域网的安全标准协议――WEP协议。接着详细介绍了对WEP协议的改进,并比较了改进前后的加密的安全性。

he security mechanisms if IEEE 802.11 serial protocols use a lot of technology on cryptology impertinently, and can not realize the goal of its design at all. TKIP and 802.1x protocols have remedied the design defect in WEP from a certain degree, but bring a lot of new security problem. In this paper, the theory of WLAN is studied, including protocols of wireless transmission and the applications of WLAN. The security criterion of WLAN are also studied, such as WEP, including their arithmetic and their advantages and disadvantages. RC4 and AES are two typical arithmetic used in encryption. They are also particular studied. The paper also analyzes the improvement of WEP and compares their efficiency .
