he biological characteristics of deltamethrin-resistant and susceptible strains of Aedes albopictus were studied, and SDS-PAGE electrophoresis was employed to investigate the difference of expressed proteins from Ⅳ-instar larvae and adults of the two strains of mosquitoes. The results showed that the pupation rate of resistant strain was higher than that of susceptible strain (P<0.05), but the emergence rate of two strains was not significantly different (P>0.05). It was revealed by SDS-PAGE that the protein bands of adult were significantly different from that of Ⅳ-instar larvae. One specific band with about 200 kDa was detected in adult individuals. However, no significant difference was found in the protein bands of either larvae or adults between the two strains.
