Rational Thinking on the development of PON
PON是近几年兴起的新技术，包括ATM无源光网络、以太无源光网络和千兆无源光网络，文中指出了它们的关键技术和系统特点，并进行了详细比较。同时，对PON技术发展的现状和所面临的问题提出了思考和建议。
PON is a new technology risen in the last few years. It includes APON(ATM PON), EPON (Ethernet PON)and GPON(Gigabit PON).In this paper, The key techniques and features of these access networks are analyzed and discussed in detail, and then the comparison between them is also pointed out. Finally, the problems and suggestions of PON technology in development are presented.
