随着计算机技术的高速发展,自动化、智能化系统在各行业内的应用越来越广泛,可移动、低功耗和高性价比的嵌入式纸币识别系统受到中小企业的欢迎。本文主要介绍在嵌入式DSP平台TMS320 DM642上优化纸币识别算法时对内存使用的优化。做为内存使用优化的理论依据,本文首先介绍了DM642的体系架构;接着说明DSP平台的内存访问瓶颈和对应的优化方法;最终通过算法的运行效率和函数优化举例说明内存使用优化的效果。经过内存使用的优化,本嵌入式纸币识别算法的效率有了很大提高。

With the rapid development of computer technology, automation and intelligent systems are more widely used in all kinds of industry. Paper currency recognition system based on embeded platform will be more welcomed by SMEs.This paper introduces the optimization of memory usage in paper currency recognition system on embedded DSP platform TMS320 DM642.As a theoretical basis for optimizing memory usage, this paper describes the DM642 architecture at first; then shows the memory access bottleneck on DSP platform and the corresponding optimization methods; final illustrate the effect of optimizing memory usage by the algorithm and functions' efficiency.After the optimization of memory usage, the efficiency of the embeded paper currency recognition algorithm has been greatly improved.
