Real-time Simulation of Natural Convectionin in Square Cavity using Incompressible Thermal Lattice-Boltzmann Method

本文构建的以压力分布函数和内能密度分布函数为基本变量的不可压缩双分布函数热格子-Boltzmann方法,克服了早期模型在低马赫数下的弱可压缩效应。以此模型计算封闭方腔内自然对流,结果表明该模型准确程度有所提高。为了深入考察和解释封闭空腔内自然对流的形成机理,作者动态模拟了其产生和演化的过程,从涡运动和演化的角度,进行了机理分析,说明了封闭方腔内自然对流的形成是温差、压差和方腔有限空间限制三者相互作用的复杂热流耦合的结果。

double distribution thermal lattice-Boltzmann model, using pressure distribution and energy distribution, is presented in this paper to overcome the weak compressibility at low Mach number of the model proposed by He Xiaoyi et al. Excellent agreement is obtained with the previous numerical solutions, when it is used to simulate the natural convection in a square cavity. The real-time development of the flow and heat transfer is reported and discussed in order to find some fundamental mechanisms of the enclosure natural convection. From the viewpoint of the movement and the interaction of vortex, we found it a complicated heat transfer and flow coupled phenomena, which is the complex result from the natural convection flow, pressure forced flow and the restriction of the cavity.
