本文对一种中压空气直流断路器中的电弧特性进行了实验研究。通过高速摄影等实验手段研究了空气直流断路器中电弧发展的动态过程,研究了电流大小对于灭弧室内电弧行为的影响。在实验中通过电弧电压波形和高速摄影仪的测量,发现了在大电流燃弧情况下的电弧转移过程中存在电弧停滞现象并进行了分析。而当电弧电流减小至一定的阈值时,电弧将在触头之间持续燃烧而不能转移,提出在临界小电流情况下,需要辅助手段才能完成熄弧。最后,通过在灭弧室外设置磁吹系统来增大电弧运动的驱动力,研究了在磁吹系统作用下的空气直流断路器的开断性能,研究工作对直流断路器的研制提供了理论与技术指导。

In this paper, the arc characteristic in a certain type of medium-voltage circuit breaker is investigated through experiment. The dynamic process of the arc evolution is observed with a deliberately designed experimental setup. Via the experiment, the phenomena of arc commutation and stagnation are caught through both arc voltage wave and high-speed camera results. The influence of arc current on the arc behaviour is also discussed primarily. It is discovered that the arc will burn between the contacts continuously without commutation and motion when the current is decreased to a certain threshold value. And in this case, an assisting measure should be taken to help the complement of the arc interruption. For that sake, a simple magnetic system is added to increase the arc propulsion. The interruption characteristic of this circuit breaker with this added system is also investigated.
