网格模型简化的研究进展

myraggedright 在计算机图形学中,表示三维模型的三角形网格数据量变得日益庞大。更多的数据有助于表现模型更多的几何细节,但对于图形数据的存储、传输和处理等都形成了巨大的挑战。对复杂的网格模型进行简化,然后再进行相关的处理成为解决此难题的重要手段。本文通过对国内外关于网格模型简化相关方法的研究的介绍,结合其在应用中的需求特点,对网格简化的基本框架和度量标准进行分析和讨论,对常用的网格简化方法进行了分类和分析,并对网格模型简化的发展提出了一些看法。

myraggedright In computer graphics, the data quantity of triangle mesh which is used to represent 3D models is more and more big. Although it is helpful to present more geometric details, it is a huge challenge to storage, transmission, calculation and real-time rendering of the graphic data. To simplify the complex mesh models, which has become an important means to solve this problem. In this article, the domestic and foreign researches on mesh simplification are introduced. According to the characteristics of the applications, the basic framework and metrics of mesh simplification are analyzed and discussed. These common mesh simplification methods are classified and analyzed. And the outlook of mesh simplification is given.
