Spectral properties and spectral calculation of Pr-doped GdVO4 crystal
首次生长了新型激光晶体Pr:GdVO4,测量了其室温下的吸收光谱。退火后晶体吸收光谱基线变平、吸收系数变大。分别在532nm和404nm激光激发下测量了晶体的荧光发射。根据Judd-Ofelt理论,计算了GdVO4晶体中Pr3+离子(不含3H4→3P2)的强度参数Ω2=1.243×10-20cm2,Ω4=4.181×10-20cm2,Ω6=4.831×10-20cm2;由此得到可见至红外波段跃迁的荧光分支比、荧光寿命、积分发射截面,可知满足激光振荡需要条件的能级跃迁较多,对应的辐射波长红外波段有1.3µm、1.02µm以及可见波段有718nm、697nm、635nm、482nm。
Pr:GdVO4 crystal was grown by using Czochraliski pulling method for the first time to our knowledge. Its transmittance spectrum had been measured. And the annealed crystal’s spectrum was compared with the unannealed one. The fluorescence emitting exicited by 532nm laser and 404nm laser was recorded separately. According to the theory of Judd-Ofelt, the phenomenological intensity parameters(not include 3H4→3P2) of Pr3+ in Pr3+:GdVO4 crystals have been calculated: Ω2=1.243×10-20cm2, Ω4=4.181×10-20cm2, Ω6=4.831×10-20cm2. Based on these Ωλ values, the radioactive lifetime, and integrated emission cross section of some transitions were estimated. Lots of transitions between different energy levels meet the specification of laser oscillation. Accordingly, there are radiation wavelength 1.3µm,1.02µm in infrared region and 718nm, 697nm, 635nm, 482nm in visual field.
