he expression profile of a CycB gene from Nicotiana tabacum was characterized in present study. The results showed this gene exhibited high expression in shoot apex and flower. This CycB gene, driven by CaMV 35S promoter, was introduced into N. tabacum using Agrobacterium-mediated method. However, the transformants overexpressing CycB showed similar phenotype to wild-type plants. By contrast, overexpression of CycB enhanced the adventitious root and shoot formation on leaf explant in transgenic plant on MS medium in the absence of hormone.
