Quantitative Analysis of I-Phase in Mg-Zn-Y alloys

采用不同尺寸规格模具制备了MgZn6xYx合金,应用Image-Pro软件测算了合金中准晶相的含量,并与理论计算值进行了对比分析。研究结果表明:不同尺寸规格的MgZn6xYx合金的物相组成均为I-Phase和α-Mg;采用小尺寸模具(b=14mm)时,各合金中I-Phase含量的实测值均明显高于理论值,且随着Y含量的增加,I-Phase含量的实测有效增速也明显增加;采用大尺寸模具(Φ95mm)时,各合金铸锭中心区域至外侧边缘区域I-Phase含量均逐渐递减,且与采用小尺寸模具(b=14mm)相比,I-Phase含量均明显减少。

MgZn6xYx alloys were fabricated using cast iron molds with different shapes and sizes. I-Phases of MgZn6xYx alloys were quantitative analyzed by means of Image-Pro. The results show that MgZn6xYx alloys are comprised of α-Mg matrix and I-phase. When the thickness of mold is 14 mm, the actual measure values of I-Phase contents are higher than theoretical values in all alloys, and the actual virtual speeding up of I-Phase content increase with increasing Y contents. When the diameter of mold is 95 mm, I-Phase contents decrease gradually from center to edge. And the contents of I-Phase are lower than that fabricated using the mold that the thickness of mold is 14 mm.
