Studies on transmittance property of Y2O3 doped ZrO2 ceramics

采用固相法在不同烧结温度和保温时间条件下制备了Zr1-xYxO2-0.5x (x=0.06, 0.10, 0.16, 0.24,分别记为3Y、5Y、8Y、12Y)陶瓷。通过排水法测量其体积密度和相对密度,结果表明:3Y试样在1400℃/3h和1450℃/3h烧成时,相对密度最高可达99.1%和99.3%;5Y试样在1450℃/3h烧成时,相对密度最高可达98.80%;8Y和12Y试样在1600℃/4h烧成时,相对密度最高也只能达到可达95.7%和可达92.4%;可见光和红外透光率测试结果表明,透光率随着Y2O3含量的增多而降低。3Y和5Y的红外透光率最高达70%。

he materials with formula Zr1-xYxO2-0.5x (x=0.06, 0.10, 0.16, 0.24) were prepared by solid-state reaction at different temperatures for different times. Bulk density and relative density of samples were measured according to the Archimedes principle. The results showed that the relative density of the samples with x=0.06 (3Y) at 1400℃ for 3h and 1450℃ for 3h were the highest, reaching 99.1% and 99.3%; the relative density of the sample with x=0.10 (5Y) at 1450℃ for 3h was 98.8%. The relative density of the samples with x=0.16 and 0.20 (8Y and 12Y) sintered at 1600℃ for 4hwere only 95.7% and 92.4%, respectively. The visible and IR-transmission were decreased with the increase of Y2O3 content. The highest IR-transmission of 70% was obtained for the 3Y and 5Y samples.
