在VOIP这个迅猛发展的产业中，IAX凭借其自身的优势--健壮，功能强大，简单，节省带宽，便于防火墙和NAT的配置，逐渐地为人们所接受。本文简单的介绍了IAX协议，并且给出了一个使用IAX通信的网络模型，通过与其它协议的比较分析此模型下使用IAX协议的优势。
IAX has many advantages—robust, powerful, simple, bandwidth savings and easy to NAT and firewall manage when dealing with VOIP. Therefore, more and more people learn it and use it. This paper makes an introduction to IAX, and gives a scenario to use it compared with other protocols.
