hrough RT-PCR (reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction) and RACE(rapid amplification of cDNA ends), a betaine aldehyde dehydrogenase (BADH) coding region has been obtained(as named HaBADH) from extreme xerophyte and salt-tolerant plant Haloxylon ammodendron. Use double-digests, construct plant expression vector pCAMBIA2300-HaCMO with obtained fragment and plant expression vector pCAMBIA2300-35s-OCS. Lead the vector pCAMBIA2300-HaCMO into agrobacterium tumefaciens and transform it to rice,, lay a foundation for studying gene function and cultivating salt tolerance crops through transgenosis.
